Deb Schwartz started her career in dentistry 14 years ago as an associate dentist. Just two short years later, she purchased the practice, which she later moved to its present location at the Inn on Lake Bonavista.
Deb graduated from Dalhousie University in 1996 and since then has continued to expand her base of dental knowledge and skill by completing hundreds of hours of continuing education. She is a graduate of the Kois Center, a comprehensive curriculum involving aesthetic, occlusion and restorative dentistry.
Deb was one of only three Canadian dentists chosen to act as a consultant for 3M/ESPE’s Council for Innovative Dentistry. This panel of dentists and scientists from North America and Europe provided feedback about new materials and technologies through clinical trials and discussions. Deb has received extensive training in implant dentistry and has gone on to instruct with the Institute for Dental Education and Advanced Surgeries.
“The hours I have spent on continuing my education allow me to practice dentistry in a comprehensive manner. Producing beautiful esthetics supported by comfortable function is what it is all about for me. In order for me to do this, I need a thorough understanding of the science of dentistry—the science of the materials and the disease processes that we encounter.”
